our story

our story

Table Farm grew from the dreams of an intergenerational team at The Table at Central United Methodist Church to gather with food in ways that might lessen the prevalence of isolation and bolster vibrant, sustainable community rooted in God’s all-inclusive love.

Leaning into the tactile craft of food growing, we seek to:

-Center the ingenuity of young people

-Collaborate across generations

-Contribute towards larger movements of justice

-Cultivate climate resilience

Together, we practice reorienting our lives towards land and neighbor, where all are welcome. We farm on the ancestral homelands of the Nisenan. We also share produce with the South Sacramento Interfaith Partnership Food Closet, and donated over 1,900 pounds of locally grown food in 2024.
